Verbal abuse is similar to mental abuse in the sense it makes a child feel worthless and hurts them through worse through words. Verbal abuse and mental abuse go hand in hand because they have the same effects on a child and often happen with the same pattern as mental abuse. A child who suffers from verbal abuse is told how worthless they are and become in a depressed state. They are often yelled at or told constantly how they are not good enough.

Again, how to help a child who is being verbally abused is the same as the mental abuse category. It is always best to tell a trusted individual or the upper authorities such as the police so they can handle it accordingly and remove the child from the situation. Again I think doing something is better than not doing anything at all. Even the smallest thing can change or even save a childs life. You can even research how to help a child in this situation.
